I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 105520) in the state of California. I received my training from Phillips Graduate Institute. My post graduate training is rooted in Jungian and psychodynamic theories and depth psychology.

I have an eclectic approach to therapy which means I may use different interventions from one or more psychological theories depending on the client and their needs. I work with young adults, individuals and elders on many issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, codependency, life transitions (like midlife upheaval, reversals of fortune, illness, job loss, divorce, pregnancy, postpartum), mood disorders, relationships, addiction and individuation.

I was born in the Philippines and grew up in Hawaii as a mixed race child. I identify as Filipino American and straddle two cultures as well as being an immigrant. This perspective allows me a unique vantage point. I am both an insider and an outsider simultaneously, allowing me to understand both perspectives.

I have two names - Maryanne and Cindy - and go by my nickname, Cindy. In the Philippines, it’s very common for people to use a nickname instead of their formal given name.
